The Importance of Diet

Diet is such an important part of well-being: physically, mentally, psychically, energetically and especially magickly.
I know from my own experience and experimentation that what we put into our bodies can seriously effect everything about us. I have recently (over a year ago) removed gluten from my diet because I was suffering from painful joints and arthritic symptoms in my hands, legs and arms. I had tried everything to alleviate the pain but nothing worked – exercise, pain medications, CBD, yoga, nothing helped and the pain continued to get worse. I had heard that gluten was inflammatory so I thought what the heck, I’ll cut it out of my diet for at least a week. Now let me just say that I was a serious gluten eater. My entire diet revolved around some sort of gluten intake. Well, I felt a difference after the first day of removing gluten and it only got better. The pain literally vanished and my movement returned. I was able to do the things that I had been restricted from due to the pain. I was surprised to discover that there were a few unexpected benefits as well, one of those being improved energy. Also, I discovered that I wasn’t feeling as down and depressed (something I have suffered with most of my life); I was even thinking clearer. After a few weeks I was feeling like a new man. It was amazing. I decided to do a test to see what would happen if I ate gluten and if it was truly affecting me in such a dramatic way. I ate some naan bread with my Indian food and that very night I started to feel achy pain in my old spots. The next day I definitely felt blah. After drinking lots of water and removing the gluten once again I got back to feeling great, both physically and mentally.
I can’t even tell you how much this can affect our energy field as well as any type of magick that we are performing. The importance of a well-balanced body is the base and the root for all that we do. Meat, dairy, gluten, soy, grains, and especially hydrogenated oils and other weird chemicals that are added to food can drastically affect how we are feeling – not to mention the energies that go into things like meat that has come from a tortured fearful life that has been injected with hormones or the anger, frustration and who knows what else that is energetically put into so many other foods that humans ingest. These energies go into our own consciousness and affect how we feel, act and react. Grains and gluten's are scientifically known to cause inflammation not only in the joints and muscles, but also in the brain causing all kinds of mental illnesses. Chemicals that are not natural can affect our energy and libido, causing low sex drive and low sense of get up and go and vigor. The karmic energies that we can take on for supporting such industries are also something to think about if we are truly interested in cleansing our aura, energy and psychic awareness, especially if we are working with magick.
It is Important to know that what might work for one person might not work for another, so, if you are reading this and it resonates with you, I encourage you to experiment with your own diet and see what truly works for you. Give it one week and see what happens, especially if you are experiencing issues like pain, arthritis, low energy, low libido, depression or other mental health issues, headaches, trouble sleeping, anything that is keeping you from feeling more like your true self. As I said in the beginning of this blog, it has been over a year now and I have continued to remain gluten free. I truly believe that this has improved my life in so many ways. I have done a few little tests in that time and every single time I got the same results which has proven to me without a doubt that gluten was affecting me in a negative way. I myself am vegan and gluten free but I am always keeping a close eye on my own body wellness knowing that our bodies change over time as well and what might work now might not work a year from now. The important thing is just to stay conscious and aware of not just our body, but our mind, spirit and energy field so that we can live the best life we can in the present incarnation. If you are struggling with any physical, mental, emotional, or energetic issues, I would highly recommend looking to your diet first, as it is indeed the very foundation of our experience.
